Dog Parks

The Foster to Adopt agrees the dog must not be in any public dog park.

Off Leash

The Foster to Adopt agrees that the dog must not be off leash except in a fenced private area

Vaccines / Vetting

The Foster to Adopt understands that any dog of any age that has not completed both initial vaccinations and booster vaccine must not be in any public places but must remain on the fosters property until the vaccines are completed

Legal

The Foster to Adopt understand and agree that PSDR will not pay for any veterinarian care other than those agreed to and booked by PSDR, and further that the Foster to Adopt is not authorized to book any veterinary appointments outside those approved and booked by PSDR, during the Foster to Adopt Period.

Vacations/away

Foster to Adopt will not arrange pet sitters or home stays without prior consent from rescue

Ownership

The Parties stated herein agree that the dog, as described in this contract, remains the property of Pawsitive Steps Dog Rescue (PSDR) pending the completion of vetting, all conditions of this contract and the full and final payment of the adoption is received by PSDR.

Legal

It is understood that given the intent of this contract is to allow an approved Foster to Adopt an opportunity to begin their training and bonding with the dog, without waiting for vetting to be completed, PSDR will not be providing any supplies to the Foster to Adopt for the day to day care of the dog.

An Adoption Fee deposit of $425.00 is required prior to transfer of the dog to the Foster to Adopt home.

This deposit is non refundable should the Foster to Adopt return the dog to foster care or breach any conditions of this contract that would result in the immediate repossession of the dog by PSDR.

A 2nd payment of $425.00 is due 10-12 days following the final vet appointment to finalize the adoption.

Legal

The Foster to Adopt agrees to ensure the dog will be present for any veterinarian appointments booked by PSDR. Failure to have the dog present for these appointments will result in a $5000.00, Five Thousand Dollar, fine and the immediate return of the dog will be required.

Further PSDR will communicate all information for all required appointments with a minimum of 1 weeks notice for non urgent appointments and will endeavor to work with the Foster to Adopt when booking non urgent appointments.

Legal

Non-Essential Appointments (Grooming, Training, Etc.) “During the Foster-to-Adopt period, all non-essential appointments for the dog, including but not limited to grooming, training, and similar services, must be scheduled and booked through PSDR. The Foster to Adopt agrees to pay for all costs associated with these non-essential appointments. The Foster to Adopt will provide payment to PSDR prior to, or at the time of, the scheduled appointment, as determined by PSDR via emt to Adopt@pawsitivestepsdogs.com. The Foster to Adopt agrees to not schedule, nor attend, any non essential appointment without the express written permission of PSDR.

PSDR maintains the right to approve, or deny, any non essential appointment, and to select the service provider.
